In 2022, Home2 Suites deemed February 22, 2/22/22 as Home222 Day. And in 2024, we officially made it a weeklong celebration streamed from the ‘Free 2 Be You’ Suite - our crowd-sourced suite being decorated in real-time by our Instagram followers.

We took Home2 Suites’ unique ‘Free 2 Be You’ travel philosophy and put it in the hands of their travelers, asking them, “What would make up your ultimate suite stay?” And every time they answered, we delivered, STAT.

For one week in February, we invited comments from our followers, laced up our shoes, turned on our cameras, and created the crowd-sourced Free 2 Be You Suite in real time, to be given away to for a one-of-a-kind two-night stay before it would never be seen again.

Home222 Day 2024 not only outperformed our expense reports’ heat capacities, it delivered:

  • 1.0+ million organic & 1.8+ million paid views

  • 72.9+ thousand organic engagements

  • 6.6+ thousand total comments

  • 2 comments from Paris Hilton herself

  • 400+ new decorations added to the suite

  • 30 unique pieces of real-time content created within the course of the crowd-sourced activation
